Our tribes are located in rural communities and towns throughout the North Island of New Zealand. Each is united by a common vision of strong and healthy families exercising rangatiratanga over their rohe moana (ancestral waters).

The tribes are connected to the ICP via asset holding companies established under the Maori Fisheries Act 2004 to hold and manage their tribal fisheries settlement assets. The majority of these companies are registered New Zealand charities, reinforcing their community purpose.

The ICP allows our tribes to be actively engaged in all areas of the New Zealand seafood value chain from asset management to sales and marketing.

Contact us here if you would like to know more about how we operate and how the ICP might benefit your Iwi.
