Located in rural communities and townships throughout the North Island of New Zealand, our Members are united by a common vision to exercise rangatiratanga (governance) over their rohe moana (ancestral waters).

Our Members are connected to the Iwi Collective through their asset holding companies established under the Māori Fisheries Act 2004. Many of these companies are registered New Zealand charities, reinforcing their community purpose.

The Iwi Collective provides a pathway for our Members to be actively engaged in all areas of the New Zealand seafood value chain from asset ownership to sales and marketing.
