Introducing the ICP Board
The ICP is governed by a board of 6 directors with extensive experience in Iwi / Maori fisheries, business, law and accounting.
The Board is chaired by Mark Ngata.
All 6 directors are elected by the ICP’s Iwi Members. 3 directors are appointed by the 3 Iwi Members who contribute the greatest volume of fishing rights in recognition of their volume contribution and unique risk exposure. The remaining 3 directors are each appointed by the remaining Iwi Members, for a term of 3 years.
The Board operates a single Subcommittee – the Finance, Audit and Risk Subcommittee consisting of directors Mere George (Chair), Nathan Reid and Puhirake Ihaka.
